William G. (Bill) Edwards Forever Memorialized at Urbana University

The Urbana University Board, Faculty, Staff and Students, extend their heartfelt sympathy to the family of William G. (Bill) Edwards.

Mr. Edwards served on the Urbana University Board of Trustees from 1988 – 2011, and as Board Chair for more than a decade.  His UU legacy includes outstanding leadership and service to the UU community and commitment to academic excellence. He will be forever memorialized through the William G. Edwards Honors Program, a scholars program designed to challenge and support Urbana University's most intellectually curious and highly motivated students.

A moment of silence in Mr. Edwards’ memory will be held during Urbana University’s 126th Commencement Exercise on Saturday.

A gathering of family and friends will be held 5-7pm Monday, May 8, 2017 at Vernon Funeral Home, Urbana, Ohio.  Funeral services will be held at 10am Tuesday, May 9, 2017 in the Grace Baptist Church, Urbana.  Burial will follow in Oakdale Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, contributions are respectfully requested to the Grace Baptist Church, 960 Children’s Home Road, Urbana, OH  43078 or National Parkinson Foundation Ohio Chapter, 2800 Corporate Exchange Drive, Suite 265, Columbus, Ohio 43231.
