Student Success Coordinator

Urbana University has an opening for a Student Success Coordinator.  The Coordinator will serve as a resources person, referral representative and liaison to other campus and community groups in support of improving student success, persistence and retention.  The Coordinator works directly with students, tutors, staff to organize support between the Student Success Center and other student campus support resources.  In addition, this position will coach student athletes in setting goals, making study plans, and following up on progress towards goals.  The Coordinator will monitor academic progress toward degree completion, and compliance with NCAA eligibility.

This position requires a Bachelor’s degree. Candidate must demonstrate a high standard of confidentiality and professionalism. Experience in mentoring or coaching students is preferred.  This role requires a self-starter, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A demonstrated commitment to understanding of and implementation of programs and procedures to ensure compliance with NCAA regulation and procedures is desired.
