Picking up your Cap & Gown: If you don’t wish to wait until May 11, you may pick up your academic robes in the Bookstore beginning Monday, April 29th. The regular Bookstore hours are Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Graduates can order personalized announcements online at herffjones.com The bookstore also sells diploma frames, non-personalized announcements, souvenir tassels and alumni apparel. Saturday, May : 10:00 am - 2:00 pm
May 6 - May 10: 9:00 am - 6:00 pm
Saturday, May 11: 9:00 am - 4:00 pm
Graduates can phone the Bookstore after April 29 if they would like their cap & gown shipped to them via UPS. Cost is $7.50 for UPS ground.
The Bookstore is open from 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. for your convenience.
Parking and Personal Possessions
Upon arrival, park in the lot between Sycamore Hall and the Grimes Center or the large lot across from the Moore Classroom Building. Please wear your cap and gown and leave all other personal possessions including bags and backpacks located in your vehicles.
10:00 a.m. - All graduates must sign-in at the registration table in the tent. Instructions will be given to prepare you to participate in the commencement ceremony.
10:30 a.m. - Assemble in the tent for Commencement Processional. At this time, the final marching order will be set and attendees confirmed. Anyone who is late may be placed at the end of the processional rather than in alphabetical order for their college.
The order for the processional is the platform party followed by Advisory Board. The faculty and graduates will line-up separately and merge by college with first the Faculty from the college and then the graduates from the college following their Dean.
11:00 a.m. - Commencement in Grimes Center Gymnasium. The order of the recessional is the platform party, then graduates.
Light refreshments will be served to graduates and their guests in the tent immediately following the ceremony.
