Peer Wellness Ambassador Program
The Peer Wellness Ambassador Program provides an opportunity for students to promote healthy choices among fellow students and contribute to the well-being of the Urbana University community, while also gaining valuable career skills. The program is designed for students who want to grow and build their capacity for health and success. On- and off-campus mentors assist with setting goals, building on strengths and increasing resiliency. Peer Wellness Ambassadors are trained to inform students about Urbana University’s Sexual Misconduct Policy, on- and off-campus resources available to sexual misconduct survivors, strategies to emotionally support survivors of sexual assault and harassment, and the best ways to help a friend in need.
The Peer Wellness Ambassador is a paid position that will require an average of 6 hours per week and additional training before school begins.
