Summer Orientation

Prepare for College Life

Summer Orientation: Connecting You to UU

The transition to college life is a big adjustment – but don’t worry, we’re here to help. Our Summer Orientation experience will provide information on how you and your family can access essential resources for your successful transition to college. You will meet people from around the campus who you can count on for support. From managing your first days on campus to completing the tasks you’ll need to graduate, the Urbana community will be there for you every step of the way.

During orientation, you will be introduced to academic and co-curricular resources vital for your success at Urbana University. You and your family will learn how to partner with UU to help you excel in your courses, internships and other extra-curricular activities. By the end of the day, you will leave with a student ID, be registered for your first semester classes and will have new friends to greet you when you return in the fall.

Summer Orientation is an exciting day of events and opportunities to connect with students, faculty and staff. Led by Student Affairs, orientation is intended to provide you and your family with a holistic introduction to the collegiate environment. Please plan to attend from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
