Impact the Future with a Degree in Education

With 90 percent of Urbana’s education graduates working within their field of choice, our licensed teachers are in high demand. Urbana offers the following undergraduate programs to prepare you in becoming a licensure teacher in the state of Ohio: Early Childhood Education (PK-Grade 5), Middle Childhood Education (Grades 4-9), Adolescent to Young Adult Education (Grades 7-12) and Intervention Specialist Mild/Moderate (K-12).

As part of our education programs, you’ll be placed at partner schools for field experiences that are diverse, technology-enhanced and filled with outstanding teachers who serve as great role models and mentors along your student journey. As part of the education curriculum, you’ll also complete the requirements to sit for the Ohio Assessments for Educators (OAE) series of tests, a necessary part of becoming a licensed teacher in the state.
