Urbana University is seeking adjunct faculty members to teach Chemistry courses in a face-to-face format beginning on August 21st and lasting until December 6th. These classes will be taught on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays during the day with the Monday sessions being devoted to the laboratory.  The classes being offered include a first half of a two-semester General Chemistry course which presents the fundamental concepts of chemistry necessary for further studies in the areas of chemical, physical, or biological sciences as well as an Organic Chemistry course which is the first half of a two-semester organic chemistry sequence for science and premedical majors emphasizing mechanisms, structure, theory, modern laboratory techniques, and applications to biological, medical and environmental organic chemistry.

Requirements for these positions include at least a Master’s degree in Chemistry (or closely related field). If the Master’s degree is in another field, you must have completed at least 18 hours of graduate level Chemistry coursework.  In order to be considered for these positions, you must have daytime availability.
