Urbana University is seeking adjunct faculty members to teach American History courses in a face-to-face format beginning in Winter, 2018. Classes will be taught Monday-Friday during the day (varies depending on the specific course). The 16 week courses being offered include US History after 1877 being offered on Mondays, Wednesday and Fridays from 9:00 a.m. until 9:50 a.m. and Ohio History being offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:30 a.m.-10:45 a.m.  Both courses begin on January 8, 2018 and last until May 4th, 2018.   

Requirements for these courses include at least a Master’s degree in American History or American Studies or a Master’s degree outside of the History discipline with a minimum of 18 hours of graduate-level coursework in American History or American Studies.  Candidates with an earned Ph.D. in History are strongly preferred.  1-3 years of higher education teaching experience is preferred.  In order to be considered for these positions, you must have daytime availability.
