Urbana University Announces Fast-Track MSN Pathways

Urbana, OH (March 19, 2019)

Urbana University, a branch campus of Franklin University, is pleased to announce the addition of the MSN and MSN-FMP programs as a fast-track pathway for registered nurses who have already earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. To provide the opportunity to help these students take advantage of this career-enhancing option, students can begin classes as soon as this summer!

Master of Science in Nursing
As a branch campus of Franklin University, Urbana University is proud to collaborate in the launch of a new Master of Science in Nursing. Designed for registered nurses who have already earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, the program features online coursework and a 12-week onsite clinical experience.

Evolving legislation, rising costs and meeting the demands of an aging population are just a few of the challenges that contribute to the increasing complexity of the healthcare industry. As a registered nurse with a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN), graduates will be better prepared to meet the demand for quality patient care and advanced leadership in healthcare.  As a graduate-level nursing student at Franklin University, students will build on the knowledge and competencies gained at the bachelor’s level. Throughout the MSN program, students will strengthen critical thinking and problem-solving skills in order to coordinate healthcare programs in a time of ongoing reform.

Applications are now being accepted for the fall 2019 term. Learn more about the MSN program, including admission requirements and tuition information at: https://bit.ly/2mTdj5L

Online MSN-Family Nurse Practitioner Program

Urbana University is also proud to announce the launch of Franklin’s newest master’s program. Designed for registered nurses who have already earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, the Family Nurse Practitioner track within Franklin’s CCNE-accredited Master of Science in Nursing program features online coursework and an on-site clinical experience during your last year of study.

As one of the most rapidly growing healthcare professions in the United States, nurse practitioners are well positioned to conquer challenges associated with growing healthcare needs. Students in Franklin University’s Master of Science-Family Nurse Practitioner (MSN-FNP) program will expand the critical thinking and problem-solving skills necessary to effectively deliver high-quality patient care. Students can earn the MSN-FNP in 27 months by taking a combination of 6, 12 and 16-week online courses. During the last year in the program, students spend 1 or 2 days per week completing a required on-site clinical experience in an approved healthcare setting.
