Dr. Christopher Washington, Executive Vice President of Urbana University, a branch campus of Franklin University, made the following statement today regarding the passing of Walt Reiner:

“Walt Reiner’s long-standing involvement with the Johnny Appleseed Foundation Board is a testament to his dedication to fortifying the legacy of John Chapman. His enthusiasm, governance and guidance will be sadly missed by the Urbana University community and by those who benefited from the wisdom of his counsel and leadership.

We are deeply saddened by his loss and offer our sincere condolences to members of his family, his friends and loved ones.”
