Monitor at London Correctional Institution (LoCI)

Position Summary    

The monitor provides support and assistance to the site director, faculty, and students involved in the Urbana University prison program located in College Hall at LoCI (London Correctional Institution).

Duties and Responsibilities 

Pull keys from Control Center and has responsibility of unlocking and locking classrooms, cabinets, and office as necessary.

Lock all rooms and cabinets at the end of each shift.

Answer general questions about the program and assist potential students in signing up for Urbana University waiting list.

Assist the site director as needed.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications

High School diploma

Ability to pass DR&C background check

Preferred Skills and Characteristics

Ability to interact fairly with a diverse student population.

Ability to work independently,

Ability to follow directions.


Additional Notes:

Hours will be evenings 4:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday (16 hours weekly)
