Mascot (Knitro)

Position Summary:

  • Generate spirit for Urbana University and athletic teams. Knitro must be outgoing and a social individual. He appears at games and participates in local events to encourage involvement with Urbana University. Works to engage fans, students, and create loyal followers.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Attend sporting events and engage in the crowd. No talking while wearing Knitro. Must be able to keep your identity a secret when you are and aren't Knitro.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • No experience necessary.
  • Outgoing and willing to have fun
  • Current UU Student.
  • Creative with your body language.

Preferred Skills and Characteristics:

  • Over exaggerate your emotions using your body language.
  • Works well with others, including children and fans of all ages
  • Able to stand or walk for extended periods of time
  • Should be motivated in generating school or team spirit

Additional Notes:

  • Knitro will have to work specified weekend events
  • Willing to attend on/off campus special events upon request.
  • Possibility of traveling to away sporting events
