Athletics Compliance Coordinator
Urbana University, a branch campus of Franklin University, currently has an opening for an Athletics Compliance Coordinator. Under the supervision of the Associate Athletic Director of Compliance, the Athletics Compliance Coordinator will work to implement and monitor the regulations of Urbana University, the NCAA, and the Mountain East Conference, for 19 sports and three club teams The Athletics Compliance Coordinator will also provide support to the Associate Athletic Director for Compliance in the day-to-day operations of the Athletics Compliance Office including assisting with NCAA rules education programs for coaches, staff, student-athletes, and external groups to ensure appropriate people are knowledgeable of and comply with pertinent NCAA legislation.
We seek someone with a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree with a Master’s degree being preferred. Prior experience in intercollegiate athletics is preferred as is work in compliance. Candidates should have familiarity and working knowledge or willingness to learn NCAA rules/regulations and commitment to a strong compliance culture. Knowledge of compliance-related software (e.g., Compliance Assistant, Front Rush, etc.) would be a plus in this position. The selected individual should possess excellent interpersonal and communications skills and a commitment to the academic and life skills development of student-athletes. Must be able to work a flexible schedule which may include nights and weekends. Finally, the position requires someone with effective administrative skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office.
