Administrative Assistant to Athletics

Urbana University is hiring an Administrative Assistant for our Athletics Department.  The assistant will provide administrative support to the Athletic Department including the Athletic Director, Associate Athletic Director(s), Sports Information Director, and Coaches in all daily activities, tasks, projects, and major events. Serves as the first point of contact for all coaches and staff on a daily basis as it pertains to policies and procedures of the entire athletic department. This position is key to assure the department processes are efficient, welcoming, and a great place for staff to learn and grow in their coaching journey.

Position Requirements: An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree is required.  Three to five years of prior administrative experience is strongly preferred.  This individual should be able to work with minimal supervision, anticipate the needs of the department, have the ability to multi-task, be detail-oriented, dependable, and possess excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills, while maintaining confidentiality.  We seek someone with strong writing and oral communication skills.  The successful candidate will have experience with Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.  Some evening/early morning hours may occasionally be required to support the needs of the department.
