Adjunct Faculty - Spanish

Urbana University is seeking an adjunct faculty member to teach Spanish I in a face-to-face format from August 20, 2019 – December 5, 2019.  Classes will be taught Tuesdays & Thursdays from 2:30 PM - 3:45 PM. This course is designed for students with one year or less experience in a foreign language. The focus is on the fundamentals of all four language skills-speaking, writing, listening, reading. All activities are contextualized and functional so that the skills developed are applicable to the authentic language and cultural environment of the country.


Minimum qualifications for non-native Spanish speakers include a Master’s degree in Spanish and prior teaching experience.  Minimum qualifications for native Spanish speakers include a Master’s degree in International Relations, Second Language Acquisition, English, Education, Curriculum Design or a related field and prior teaching experience.  In order to be considered for these positions, you must have daytime availability.
