Adjunct Faculty - Sociology

Urbana University is seeking adjunct faculty members to teach Sociology courses in a face to face format. Fall Term begins August 17, 2020 and courses are 16 weeks in length. Classes will be taught Monday-Friday during the day (varies depending on the specific course).  The courses include Introduction to Sociology and Applied Research Methods.

Requirements for these position include a passion for teaching face-to-face and a commitment to lifelong learning.  Must have at least a MS or MA degree (or equivalent) or terminal degree in Sociology or a closely related field or at least 18 graduate credit hours in Sociology.  In addition, the Applied Research Methods course requires at least 12 hours in social science research methods.  PhD candidates are strongly preferred. Prior teaching and LMS experience is required. In order to be considered for these positions, you must have daytime availability.
