University Singers Perform Spring Concert
The Urbana University Singers are inviting area residents to their 2007 Spring Concert, which will be held Monday, April 23, at 7 p.m. in the Sara Landess Room of the Urbana University Student Center.
The University’s choir plans to perform several selections, including “On a Clear Day,” “Why Does the Willow Tree Weep?,” “Change the World,” “Fugue for Fast Food,” “Someone to Watch Over Me,” and “Irish Blessing.”
Admission to the concert is free and open to the public.
The University Singers include senior Matt Huffman, junior Alicia Matthews, both of Urbana; sophomore Andrew Hoban, junior Jackelyn McCoy, both of Springfield; senior Stephanie Black of Troy; senior Christina Hopkins of Delaware; and freshman Rocky Swonguer of Lewistown.
Ellen Vitt of West Liberty is the accompanist.
The University Singers is under the direction of Faith Pencil, Assistant Professor of Music at Urbana University.
