Dave Caperton Coming to the Student Center
Nationally-known speaker and humorist Dave Caperton is scheduled to be the guest speaker for an event at Urbana University to kick off May as National Mental Health Month.
Caperton is scheduled to give a program on “Healing Humor” on Wednesday, May 2, at 7 p.m. in the Urbana University Student Center. Co-sponsored by Urbana University and the Recovery Zone of West Liberty, the event is open to the public. Admission is free.
Caperton brings together his talents and skills as a teacher, instructor, performer, writer and even cartoonist in his presentations that are uplifting, entertaining and results-driven.
Believing that “laughter doesn’t just feel good, it’s good for you,” the speaker contends that a sense of humor has been associated with several health benefits in individuals, including stress reduction.
