URBANA, Ohio (April 21, 2008) - On Thursday April 24 th at 12:00 noon Urbana University will be unveiling and dedicating the permanent memorial marker in honor of their three Chinese students and friends Jin “Jack” Bian, Yan “Zoe” Sun, and Bing “Jo” Xue who were killed in a tragic automobile accident last year.

The specially designed and crafted monument will be placed between three Lacebark Pines, a tree native to China, that were planted last fall in memory of Jack, Zoe, and Jo. The site of the memorial is between McConnell Hall and the Swedenborg Memorial Library. This memorial will serve as a lasting tribute and reminder that although they are gone, they will never be forgotten.

The public is invited to join the Urbana University family for this special service.
