No Bob Barker. No Drew Carey. But still all the fun! On Friday, April 25, the Urbana University Student Activities Committee will host an original production of "The Price is Right." This will be the second year for the event, which in 2007 turned out 250 students to the University Student Center and the night's biggest winner, Brandon Davis-Horne took over $1,000 in cash and prizes back to his residence hall room.

This year's event will feature a format slightly modified from the television version. There will be eight games instead of the usual six, and each Big Wheel/Showcase Showdown will feature four players instead of three. Some of the show's more famous games will be featured including Hole in One, Make Your Mark, Lucky Seven, One Away, It's In The Bag, Secret X, Any Number, and Plinko.

This year's "UU Price is Right" is open to the community, but only Urbana University students may participate as contestants. Students must present a valid Urbana University Student ID at the registration table. Registration begins at 7:00 p.m., and the show kicks off at 8:00 p.m. in the Sara Landess Room of the University Student Center. Urbana University Housing Coordinator Jesse Edwards will host.

Sponsors of "The UU Price is Right" include: the Cincinnati Reds, Columbus Crew, Columbus Blue Jackets, Rothschilds Farm, Studio 36, The Depot Coffeehouse, Newport Aquarium, Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Gardens, and the Springfield News-Sun.

Urbana's Student Activities Committee is the university's largest student programming group.
