URBANA, Ohio (April 16, 2008) - The Johnny Appleseed Society/Museum and the Johnny Appleseed Montessori School will be planting an apple tree on Arbor Day, April 25 th at 1:30pm . It will take place on the campus of Urbana University near the Appleseed Museum in Historic Bailey Hall.

Both groups will be honoring Johnny, celebrating his legacy as a prolific tree planter. Johnny transcends apple trees, inspiring others to plant trees of all types to beautify parks, roadsides and schools. The tree will also be planted in memory of Joe Weikert, the Johnny Appleseed Museum Docent for many years.

Director of the Johnny Appleseed Montessori School, Sarah Goldstein, will be add the beauty of music during the planting with the playing the dulcimer. All are welcome and refreshments will be served.
