URBANA , Ohio (April 11, 2008) - Urbana University will be holding a “Building Solid Futures” Open House on Saturday, April 19 th starting at 9 am.  Registration for the event will begin at 8:30 am. 

An open invitation is extended to all students currently in high school, transfer students, adults and those students currently enrolled in any of the programs offered by the School for Adult and Graduate Education (SAGE). Parents and family members are also invited.

After a welcome by the Urbana University Admissions staff and the Student Ambassadors, all guests will attend a Break Out session based on an interest or intended major. The sessions will be led by professors from each of the colleges. Those interested in learning more about either our adult or graduate programs including the Post Baccalaureate, Master of Business Administration and Education will also have an opportunity to meet with faculty members. The Professors will explain the many majors and expectations from each college or program and give information about coursework and career opportunities.  

Following the Break Out Sessions the Student Ambassadors will lead small groups on a campus tour. All of the buildings will be open for viewing.

Lunchtime will include entertainment by the University Singers and other special “guests”. After lunch, representatives from Blue Knights Athletics, Royal Blues Band, Financial Aid, Student Services and Activities as well as alumni will be available to answer any questions about Urbana University student life.
