Want to have fun with History? We’re new and we’re growing!

Membership in the Order of the Lance is open to all students, faculty, and staff!

We promote the interest and awareness of History within the university community, through the use of films, lectures, field trips, activities, and other events.

Our field trips this school year included: the Underground Railroad Freedom Center and the Cincinnati Museum Center in Cincinnati; the Dayton Historical Aviation Park and Paul Laurence Dunbar House in Dayton; the movie- New World starring Colin Farrel.

We've sponsored campus events: the showing of Wal-Mart: The High Price of Low Cost and Kingdom of Heaven; Women's History Month panel discussion - You've Come A Long Way Baby- Maybe! ; historical re-enactors portraying "The Bag Lady and the Entertainer"; fundraiser - Valentine's Day Carnation sale.

Looking ahead to summer trips to Philadelphia, PA, Washington D.C.; attending the Renaissance Festival and games, guest speakers and food at every meeting!

We meet once a month on Tuesdays at Noon and other times TBA.
