The Office of Student Affairs provides programs,  services and environments that enhance the personal, social and intellectual lives of all members of the university community. Coordinated through the Office of Student Life, the professionals in Student Affairs, like the faculty who teach at Urbana University, have special education and training and are committed to making your college experience the very best possible.

The Office of Student Affairs is located in Eaton Hall. Services available to students include: counseling, career planning and placement, campus security, health services, residence life, food services, student organizations, student activities and educational resources. The bookstore is located in the Student Center. A professional staff is available to assist students with academic or personal concerns and problems.

Urbana University offers a variety of services to assist students in their academic endeavors. These services include free tutoring, disability assistance, academic, career and personal counseling. Career workshops, job interviewing and individual counseling, along with resource materials are available through the Career Services office.

Urbana University provides accommodations, auxiliary aids and support services to students with a disability to ensure they are not denied the benefits of or excluded from participation in any program or activity offered by the university.

The intramural program offers a variety of men's, women's and coed sports throughout the year. Residence hall, commuter and faculty-staff teams compete in such sports as basketball, racquetball, softball, tennis, soccer and volleyball. Free recreational time may be scheduled at the Warren G. Grimes Center for students to use basketball and racquetball courts, weight room and fitness facility. Outdoor facilities include baseball and soccer fields, basketball, sand volleyball, and tennis courts, and the track. Students are encouraged to make use of these facilities.

Vocal music and dramatic activities are offered for all interested students and members of the Urbana community. The Performing Arts Department at Urbana seeks to develop the artistic talents of the student body. Scholarship assistance is offered to students engaged in the Performing Arts. More information may be obtained by contacting the Director of Performing Arts.

Campus housing is available for students. Both traditional residence hall and suite style housing are available. The resident assistants of each living unit plan educational and social activities in conjunction with the Director of Residence Life.

Student activities are coordinated by the Student Activities Committee, the Student Government Association (SGA) and by the Coordinator of Student Activities. All students, including commuters and nontraditional students, are encouraged to participate in the many cultural, educational, recreational and social events held on campus. Movies and professional acts supplement social activities such as dances, Spring Fling Week, trips, clubs, Homecoming activities, special entertainment and others. A variety of student organizations provide students numerous opportunities for campus involvement and leadership development.
