UU Library to Offer Additional Workshops

Grant Proposal Writing Basics for Non-Profits

URBANA, Ohio (March 8, 2013) - The Urbana University Foundation Center Cooperating Collection will offer three free “Grant Proposal Writing Basics” workshops for nonprofit organizations and interested individuals.The workshops will be held on Thursday, May 16 from 10 am – 12 noon; Monday, May 20 from 2 – 4 pm and Tuesday, June 4 from 6 – 8 pm. Participants need to attend only one session. The workshop will be led by Cooperating Collection Supervisor Julie McDaniel.

The workshops will be held in the Urbana University Library. Reservations for the workshops are required and can be made by calling 484-1409.

The Grant Proposal Writing Basics workshop will help grant seekers learn the key components of a proposal to a non-profit foundation. Participants will learn about preparing to write the proposal as well as how to organize, write and package the proposal. The workshop will also cover important aspects about communicating with potential donors during the proposal preparation period and follow up.
