Urbana University will host a Special Screening of “The Economics of Happiness”

URBANA, Ohio (March 4, 2013) - A special screening of “The Economics of Happiness” will be offered on Monday, March 18, at 7 p.m. in the Honda Lecture Hall, located in the Lewis & Jean Moore Center for Mathematics & Science on the campus of Urbana University. Admission is free although donations will be happily accepted.

The film features a chorus of voices from six continents calling for systemic economic change with the common goal of rebuilding more democratic, human scale, ecological and local economies. Both hard-hitting and inspiring, this new one-hour documentary film demonstrates that millions of people across the world are already engaged in building a better world – that small scale initiatives are happening on a larger scale. “The Economics of Happiness” provides critical insight, hope, and above all, inspiration to join the growing movement for economic localization and change.

This program is sponsored by The Alicia Titus Memorial Peace Fund, The Champaign County Peace Alliance, Urbana University, and UU Interfaith Chaplaincy. Opportunity for informal discussion will follow the film. For more information, contact Peggy Hanna at peghanna@woh.rr.com.
