Housing Selection Process for Returning Residential Students

We are beginning the Housing Selection Process for the 2015-2016 academic year. The following information describes how to complete the application, your housing contract, and how to qualify for participation in the Room Draw process for the next school year. You will need to complete all pages and return them to the Campus Life Office by Friday, April 17, 2015.

HOW DOES THIS PROCESS WORK?

  1. Complete the application details (even if you don’t plan to live on campus next year) & rank your housing choices for next year.
  2. Select your roommate(s) for next year. Both roommates need to request each other on their application.
  3. SUITE APPLICANTS: All roommates must have a minimum 2.75 cumulative GPA and no major recent student conduct issues. Also, each suite should have no fewer than four residents.
  4. Complete Housing Contract, including selection of Meal Plan and identification of your Missing Student contact.
  5. Initial each point of the contract and sign & date the last page. Keep in mind, housing contracts are valid for an entire academic year… students are not permitted to move off campus during the semester or   between semesters.
  6. Turn all pages in to the Campus Life Office in the Student Center before April 17.

AFTER YOUR APPLICATION IS TURNED IN:

  • Applications with an average cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher will be invited to participate in a Room Draw process on Tuesday, April 21 at 8:00pm in the Student Center.  You and your roommate’s GPAs will be averaged together to determine your average cumulative GPA. Grades used for this process are used from grades filed with the Registrar’s Office.
  • Applications that do not meet the minimum GPA will have a room selected for them (with their roommate) based on their housing preferences.  E-mails will be sent to students with their housing assignments by the end of April.

Please contact your Hall Director or the Office of Campus Life if you have any questions.

Applications have been e-mailed through KnightNet to all residents, are available to download here, or can be picked up at the Student Center.
