Urbana University Honors Academic Achievements
URBANA, Ohio (May 6, 2013) - Urbana University recognized many of its top students for their academic achievements at the Honor Societies Inductions and Awards Convocation on Friday, May 3.
The College of Arts & Sciences named Marci Copley, from Kenton, as the Outstanding Communications Arts Student. Gina Grusenmeyer, from Tipp City, was awarded the Outstanding Humanities Student. The Outstanding Vernon Lestrud Theatre Student Award went to Amanda Rockhold, from Urbana. And named the Outstanding English Student was Christopher Workman, from Troy.
The College of Business awarded the Outstanding Business Student to Megan Taucher, from Lima; the Outstanding Management Student Award to Adam Lang, from Urbana and Brendan Marting, from Kettering; and the Outstanding Accounting Student Award to Rachel Bankson, from Greenville and Rachel Dunlop, from West Liberty.
The College of Education and Sports Studies presented awards for the Outstanding Student in Early Childhood Education to Ami Richards, from Bellefontaine; the Outstanding Student in Adolescent Young Adult Education Award to Jessica Friermood, from Mt. Victory; and the Outstanding Student in Intervention Specialist Education Award to Sara White, from Fleming.
The College of Nursing and Allied Health awarded the Outstanding BSN Student Scholar to Gina Seay,from Enon;the Outstanding MSN Student Scholar to Julie Giffen, from Fairborn, Beth Heyse, from Springboro, and Erica Smith, from Fairborn; the Outstanding Healthcare Management Student Scholar to Jessica Edwards, from Piqua; and the Cary S. Keller Internship Award in Athletic Training to Mallory Fritz from Pemberville.
The College of Social and Behavioral Sciences recognized their students with the Outstanding History Award to Keith Fry,from Springfield; the Outstanding Psychology Student Award to Paige Heistan,from Lima;and the first Outstanding Political Science Student Award to Marissa Dinovo, from Bellefontaine.
Mitch Joseph, the director of Campus Life presented the Richard K. Anderson Award to Sarah Hotham from Marysville.
