SATA to Sponsor Pancake Breakfast and Easter Egg Hunt
URBANA, Ohio (March 13, 2013) - The Urbana University Student Athletic Training Association (SATA) is hosting a Pancake Breakfast Meal and Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, March 23, 2013 from 9-11 a.m. in the University Student Center. The meal consists of “all you can eat” pancakes and sausage links. The cost is $5 person, free for those 2 years and under. The Easter Egg Hunt begins at 10 a.m. in the center of the campus. The children will be divided up into age groups but will all gather the hidden eggs at the same time. In case of inclement weather, the Easter Egg Hunt will be held inside the Student Center.
The SATA is a national student organization that helps promote the Athletic Training Program and prepares the members for a professional career. The UU students also raise funds with the Pancake Breakfast and helping with security and the concessions at all University athletic home games. The money raised helps to underwrite the cost to attend various professional conventions such as the Ohio Athletic Training Association (OATA), Great Lakes Athletic Training Association (GLATA), and the National Athletic Training Association (NATA). The students are able to learn from the various speakers about their chosen profession and keep up to date with new topics.
March is “Athletic Training Month”, a time for athletic trainers to be recognized for the important role they play in protecting and caring for athletes at every level. The theme for this year is “Every Body Needs and Athletic Trainer”. Support the Urbana University Student Athletic Trainers while enjoying a pancake breakfast and Easter Egg Hunt.
