Residence Hall Closing Information
Residence Halls close for the academic year on Thursday, May 2, 2013 at 5:00pm (graduating seniors and other students participating in the Awards Convocation or Commencement may stay through the completion of those events). Please contact the Campus Life Office by Wednesday, May 1 if you are unable to leave by your scheduled check-out time. The Director of Campus Life will approve or deny your request and notify you. Any resident remaining in the residence halls after the above closing dates without prior authorization will be charged a late departure fee of $50.00 per day of occupancy.
Residents have a choice of check out options: Express Checkout or Traditional Checkout option.
-Express Checkout: Students need to pick up an Express Checkout envelope from their Residence Hall, Student Center, or Campus Life Office.
-Traditional Checkout: Students need to make an appointment with their RA to complete their Room Condition Report and collect keys.
The need for residence hall security increases when there are fewer residents present. As always, do not allow non-residents access to the building unless they are accompanied by a resident. Any unusual observations should be reported to Campus Life staff or Campus Safety at 937-484-1111.
