Sarah St. Clair, '12, Named New Alumni Relations GA

URBANA, Ohio ( January 10, 2013) - Kat Steiner, Alumni Relations director, announced the hiring of Sarah St. Clair ‘12 as the new Alumni Relations graduate assistant.

Sarah is pictured with longtime faculty member Dr. David George on graduation day.

This past December, Sarah graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor of arts degree in English and communication arts and from the William G. Edwards Honors program. She is currently working on a post-baccalaureate degree through the College of Education and Sports Studies.

St. Clair joined both the cross country and swimming teams during their inaugural season in 2008-09. This past school year, she put the finishing touches on her 4-year career in both sports, becoming the only female student-athlete to compete in the first four seasons of both programs. In 2012, the Athletic Department recognized senior Sarah St. Clair with the Blue Knight Leadership Award.

While juggling the demands of playing two sports, St. Clair also found time to serve as a student ambassador, a reporter and editor for the school's newspaper The Lancer, a tutor for the Student Success Center, an intern for the Champaign County Library, as well as many other activities over her four years. “I am excited to be a part of the Alumni Relations Office. Urbana helped shape who I am; I look forward to connecting with alumni who love Urbana, too,” said St. Clair.

St. Clair is a native of Coshocton, Ohio and is the daughter of Bruce and Suzanne St. Clair.
