Campus is Buzzing with Homecoming Spirit
It’s Homecoming week at Urbana University and campus is already buzzing with Blue Knight pride!
An Office Decoration Contest kicked off Homecoming Week on Monday. The Registrar’s Office came in first place by turning their office into the Urbana University Stadium, complete with a paper football field goal kicking competition. Take the time to visit the Library, Student Services, Registrar’s Office and Williams Hall to see their Blue Knight spirit!
Special thanks to all of the offices who participated and our judges: Barb Callison, Sarah Hotham, Mitch Joseph, Judy Jones, Dean Pond, and Tammy Leiker for assistance coordinating the judging.
Student Organizations have also gotten in the spirit by making their traditional homecoming spirit banners centered around this year’s theme “The Games Begin With U!” Banners are hanging in the Student Center, Moore Center, and the Barclay/Bailey Atrium. Be sure to go around and check out the great work our students have done. The top banners will be on display on Saturday at the stadium.
The 2012 Homecoming Court has also been announced. Student organizations and athletic teams had the opportunity to nominate a student for king and queen. Voting for the Court was held on Monday and Tuesday. Students will vote for King and Queen on Thursday and Friday with the winners announced at halftime of Saturday’s football game.
