UU Honors Employees at the Annual Appreciation Luncheon
Apr. 5th, 2013Urbana University held its annual Employee Appreciation Luncheon on March 28, 2013 in the Urbana University Student Center Sara Landess room. As the administration, faculty, and staff entered the room, a delightful video presentation was shown that included photos of every employee with four UU Trivia questions interspersed. Former UU First Lady, Virginia Hazard, Passed Away on Sunday
Jan. 10th, 2013We were saddened to learn of the death of Mrs. Virginia Hazard, wife of president emeriti Francis Hazard, on Sunday at the age of 82 years. She and Dr. Hazard had been married for 54 years.

Sarah St. Clair, '12, Named New Alumni Relations GA
Jan. 10th, 2013Kat Steiner, Alumni Relations director, announced the hiring of Sarah St. Clair ‘12 as the new Alumni Relations graduate assistant.
This past December, Sarah graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor of arts degree in English and communication arts and from the William G. Edwards Honors program. She is currently working on a post-baccalaureate degree through the College of Education and Sports Studies.

UU Hosts 2012 Southwest Ohio HOBY Leadership Seminar
Jun. 15th, 2012Urbana University is host to the 2012 Hugh O'Brian Youth (HOBY) Leadership Seminar for Southwest Ohio from Thursday, June 14 thru Sunday, June 17. One hundred and ninety high school sophomores and sixty-five staff and facilitators will spend these four days striving to follow the HOBY motto, “how to think, not what to think.” These student ambassadors from regional counties have the opportunity to receive leadership training and mentorship through high levels of social interaction and sessions designed to build values.
