Assistant Professor of English
Tenure-track, beginning fall 2008. Teach four undergraduate courses a semester, including freshman composition. Ph.D. required. Desirable specialties include world literature and business writing. Application deadline is April 28.
Director for Assessment and Institutional Research
This position will assume overall responsibility for the gathering of analysis of university data; serve as the coordinator for external surveys, data requests and guiding the university’s assessment activities as determined by the Outcomes Assessment Committee. The Director for Assessment and Institutional Research will report to the Vice President for Academic Affairs for assessment with a secondary reporting line to the President regarding institutional research. A masters degree in an analytical or a related field or discipline is preferred with a minimum of five years successful experience in higher education. Knowledge of national trends and developments in higher education research, outcomes assessment, Federal/State/institutional reporting, strategic planning and accreditation are preferred. Must have excellent communication and organizational skills, the ability to work collaboratively with other and values consistent with the mission and tradition of Urbana University.
