Blue Knights Break School Record
ANDERSON, Ind. (Oct. 11, 2007) – The Blue Knight women’s soccer team jumped to a 3-0 lead at the half and held on for a 3-1 win over Anderson University in a non-conference match up Thursday. The win gives Urbana 13 so far this year, breaking the Blue Knight single season record for victories, with three regular season games to play.

Junior Abi Nelson scored the first two goals and also had an assist to get Urbana rolling. Freshman Randi Granat also scored a goal in the first half. Freshman Kayleen Roth had an assist on Nelson's second goal. Sophomore Melanie Johansing had five saves in goal for the Blue Knights.

Urbana hosts Walsh University in a critical American Mideast Conference contest this Saturday, Oct. 13 at Ellis Field. Kickoff is at noon. With a win, the Blue Knights can secure an AMC playoff berth.
