Urbana Improves to 4-0 with Blanking of Grace
Abi Nelson notches a goal and two assists
GRACE, Ind. (Sept. 1, 2007) – The Blue Knight women’s soccer team improved to 4-0 with a 3-0 shutout over Grace College (0-1) Saturday. It is the third shutout this season Urbana has posted.

Junior Abi Nelson (pictured left) played a part in all three goals for the Blue Knights. Senior Julie Glaser gave Urbana the first advantage, scoring a goal with just nine minutes remaining in the first half, on an assist from Nelson.

Nelson picked up a goal of her own late in the second half to put Urbana up 2-0. Senior Darby McCullough was credited with the assist. Nelson created the last goal that allowed freshman Jamie Magruder to score her first collegiate goal. The score put Urbana up 3-0 with 2:32 to play in the match. Sophomore Melanie Johansing had three saves in goal to pick up her second shutout this season.

Urbana (4-0) plays at Marion College this Wednesday at 4 p.m.
