Blue Knights Can’t Upset Panthers Second Time
COLUMBUS, Ohio (Feb. 9, 2008)—The Urbana University women’s basketball team couldn’t find what they needed in the second half as the Ohio Dominican Panthers went on to win the AMC contest 85-58.

The first half stayed very close as neither team took more than a five point lead at any time. Urbana went into the locker room only trailing 32-36.

The Blue Knights only managed 22 points in the second half as the Panthers more than doubled that, scoring 53. Urbana only shot 35 percent in the second half and only converted 5-9 from the charity stripe.

Urbana was led by Tia Simms with 12 points while Jessica Byrd added 11.  Ohio Dominican saw Cassidy Wertman come off the bench to score 23 points while Kaitlin Beck posted 20 and Krissy Haines added 19 with nine rebounds.

The Blue Knights travel to Cedarville University to take on the Jackets on Tuesday, Feb. 12 at 5:30 p.m. before hosting Mt. Vernon Nazarene at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 16.
