Cougars Nip Blue Knights 65-63
MOUNT VERNON, Ohio (Jan. 26, 2008)—The Urbana University Blue Knight women’s basketball team (11-6, 3-3 AMC) barely fell short of another conference victory as they were nipped by the Cougars(14-6, 2-4 AMC) of Mt. Vernon Nazarene University 65-63.

The Blue Knights brought the game within two points on a good three-pointer by Haley Fannon with two seconds remaining but couldn’t get the ball enough time to get another shot off. The Blue Knights were led by Tia Simms with a game-high 21 points. She also pulled in eight rebounds as well as collecting five steals. Haley Fannon added 16 points and five assists while Enisia Curry posted 12 points and seven rebounds.

Urbana will return home to face league-leading Shawnee State University on Tuesday, Jan. 29th with tip-off set for 5:30.
