Urbana Has Big Second Half; Downs Walsh 68-55
NORTH CANTON, Ohio (Jan. 23, 2008)—The Urbana University women’s basketball team came off of a huge upset of Ohio Dominican on Saturday to beat Walsh 68-55 in an American Mideast Conference contest.

The Blue Knights went into the locker room at half time trailing the Cavaliers 25-29 on 9 of 33 shooting. However, the Blue Knights exploded for 43 points in the second half on 16of 26 shooting while the defense held the Cavs to just 26 points.

Four Blue Knights saw double figures in scoring led by Haley Fannon with 19. Fannon also added eight assists. Tia Simms followed with 15 points and eight rebounds. Sarah Branham and Enisia Curry each connected for 10 points while Curry hauled in eight rebounds.  Megan Mummey dished out five assists. 

Urbana will travel to Mt. Vernon Nazarene University on Saturday, Jan. 26 for another AMC match up. The Blue Knights are currently 11-5 overall and 3-2 in the AMC South.
