Schulte Named Daktronics NAIA Scholar-Athlete
URBANA, Oh (Nov. 30, 2007)—The Urbana University volleyball teams lone senior Lisa Schulte (Ottawa, Oh) added another award to her career as she was named an NAIA Daktronics Scholar-Athlete for the second season.

Schulte, a four-year letter winner for the Blue Knights, finished out her career with the Blue Knights 3rd in career kills and digs. She finished the season with 603 digs and 306 kills which moved her to 2088 digs and 1198 kills for her career. She has been named to the all-American Mideast Conference team for three years as well as being named an Academic all-American.

Schulte, an athletic training major, has been a standout in the classroom as well during her time at Urbana, being active in many organizations including President of the Sports Medicine Association. She is also a member of Residence Life, the Honor Society and many other campus organizations. She will graduate this spring with honors.

Nominated by each institution's head coach, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and have achieved junior academic status to qualify.
