Urbana Splits at Mt. St. Joe Tri-Match
Urbana, Oh (Oct. 20, 2007)—The Urbana University volleyball team split a pair of matches at a non-conference tri-match at the College of Mt. St. Joseph as they defeated Manchester College in four games, 30-26, 30-26, 23-30, 33-31, before dropping a match to host MSJ, 19-30, 30-32, 30-21, 28-30.

Against Manchester, Heather Powers led on offense with 23 kills and also had 21 digs. Lisa Schulte led on defense with 31 digs and added 18 kills. Kelly Boyer had 10 kills and five solo blocks along with three assisted. Audree Castle had 57 assists and 13 digs. Maria Wuebker added 30 digs while Julia Harvat had 15. Jacie Peters had six solo and 3 assisted blocks.

In the match against Mt. St. Joe, Powers again led the offensive attack with 16 kills. Boyer and Peters added 11 and 10 kills, respectively. Boyer also had 10 solo blocks. Castle paced the offense with 45 assists while Schulte added 20 digs and nine kills. Wuebker had 22 digs while Darcy Winebrenner had a career-high 16 digs.

The Blue Knights will travel to Shawnee State University on Wednesday to return to conference play at 7 p.m.
