Urbana Drops Two At Tri-Match
Urbana, Oh (Oct. 13, 3007)—The Urbana University volleyball team just couldn’t find their groove as they dropped two matches at a tri-match at Walsh University. In the first match, Walsh downed the Blue Knights in three, 30-13, 30-16, 30-15.  The Blue Knights came back to play strong against Indiana Tech but couldn’t finish as they dropped that match in three, 30-26, 30-28, 22-30.

In the first match, Urbana was led by Kelly Boyer with five kills. Audree Castle added 20 assists. Lisa Schulte led on defense with eight digs. She also added four kills.  In the second match, Heather Powers paced the offensive attack with 14 kills. Boyer added 11 kills and six blocks. On defense, Schulte and Julia Harvat each had 14 digs. Harvat also served four aces. Maria Wuebker had 13 digs.

The Blue Knights will return to play on Tuesday as they host league-leading Mt. Vernon Nazarene University at 7 p.m.
