Blue Knights Take Down Rio In Three
URBANA, Oh (Oct 2, 2007)—The Urbana University volleyball team moved its overall and conference records to .500 on the season as they improved to 10-10 and 3-3 in the AMC after defeating Rio Grande University 30-22, 30-18, 32-30.
The Blue Knights were led by sophomore Heather Powers with 16 kills. Senior Lisa Schulte led the defense with 14 digs while also adding nine kills and four blocks. Freshman Audree Castle had 36 assists and 11 digs while junior Kelly Boyer added eight kills and three blocks. Junior Maria Wuebker added 12 digs. Sophomore Danielle Miller had a nice serving game with four aces and also added nine digs.
