Urbana Picks Up Two More Wins At Tri-Match
URBANA, Oh (Sept. 29, 2007)—The Urbana University volleyball team picked up two more wins to bring their record to 9-10 overall as they defeated Marietta College and Shawnee State University in a non-conference tri-match. Urbana defeated Marietta in four games, 23-30, 30-27, 30-28, and 30-27. The Blue Knights turned right around and defeated Shawnee for the second time in one week with scores of 30-19, 30-28, 30-21.

Sophomore Heather Powers once again led the Blue Knights offensively as she put down 37 kills, 24 of them against Marietta. Freshman Audree Castle had 100 assists for the weekend with 26 digs. Sophomore Jacie Peters collected 27 kills and 8 blocks while junior Kelly Boyer added 17 kills and 14 blocks. Senior Lisa Schulte collected 41 digs and 17 kills while junior libero Maria Wuebker kept the defense alive with 56 digs.
