Blue Knights Fall in AMC Action
URBANA, Ohio (October 23, 2007) – Urbana scored the first goal of the match, but Cedarville turned up the pressure and put away three unanswered goals for a 3-1 American Mideast Conference win in men’s soccer.

Freshman Kevin Spraul gave Urbana the advantage in the 27th minute, getting his head on a free kick by senior Troy Smith. The goal was Spraul’s first of his collegiate career.

The Yellow Jackets answered about 10 minutes later on a header by Steve Cobucci, on assists from Ryan Chaney and Jason Bender, to tie the game 1-1, which stood at the half.

Cedarville (7-7-2, 3-2-1 AMC) took the lead for good on a Ken Davis finish in the 76th minute. Zach Hill scored a goal in the 87 th minute to secure the win. The Yellow Jackets had 24 shots to Urbana’s 11.

Senior Derek Ballas had 10 saves in goal, while Smith also had a save.

Urbana (4-10-2, 1-4 AMC) plays its final regular season match this Friday at 7 p.m., under the lights, at No. 10 Ohio Dominican.
