WVU Tech takes 81-71 win over Urbana
URBANA, Ohio (November 19, 2007) – The Blue Knight men’s basketball team dropped its fifth consecutive game, losing 81-71 to NAIA D-I West Virginia Tech (1-2) on Monday night at the Grimes Center Gymnasium.

Junior Charles Jefferson led Urbana with 14 points, drilling 8-of-9 from the free throw line. Senior Allen Drake added 11 points and six rebounds, while junior Shawn Lewis produced 10 points. Sophomore Mike DeBolt led the Blue Knights in steals with three. Urbana had 12 steals to WVU Tech’s five.

The Blue Knights had just nine turnovers to the Golden Bears’ 15. Urbana continues to struggle from the line this season, making 16-of-28. West Virginia Tech hit a jumper at the buzzer to lead 35-34 at the half.

Urbana (0-5) plays at NCAA D-II Kentucky State University on Wednesday, Nov. 21 at 5 p.m. at William E. Exum HPER Center.
