Urbana Falls to SSU in Season Finale
PORTSMOUTH, Ohio (February 23, 2008) – Three seniors scored in double figures in the Blue Knight’s final game of the 2007-08 season, but it wasn’t enough as Shawnee State won the American Mideast Conference game, 74-56, Saturday.

Both teams struggled early and played to an 18-18 tie with 5:45 to play in the first half.  A three-pointer by Wes Jordan at the buzzer gave the Bears a 33-26 lead at the half.  Urbana pulled to within two at 35-33 with 16:44 on the clock. The Bears used a 10-1 run to put the game out of reach. 

Senior Andre’ Wiggins led the Blue Knights with 13 points, while fellow seniors Julian Bernard, who, chipped in 12 points, and Allen Drake, who had 11 points and nine rebounds, also contributed heavily in their final game for Urbana. Senior Joe Williams had a game-high four assists.

Shawnee State (14-14, 8-6 AMC) was led by Aaron Davis, who poured in 22 points.
