Long Commits to Blue Knights on National Signing Day
February, 6, 2008 – Urbana University head football coach Tim Place is pleased to announce that Dustin Long has committed to the Blue Knights.
Long, a 6'1, 280-pound offensive lineman from Cedar Park, Texas, was named all-District 14-5A for Coach Chris Ross at Cedar Park High School. Long is pictured above (on the left) after signing his National Letter of Intent. He is accompanied by Coach Ross.
"Dustin is a versatile offensive lineman who can play center or guard," said Place. "He is very physical, athletic and strong. He comes from a very quality high school football program and from a state that eats and sleeps football.
"We're expecting great things from him on and off the field," added Place.
Dustin is the son of Vincent Long and Sherri Lynch.
