Blue Knights Blank Robert Morris College
CLEARWATER, Fla. (March 8, 2008) – On the final two days of the Baseball Academy Invitational in Clearwater, Fla. the Blue Knight baseball team swept Robert Morris College, Ill. Urbana took game one in five innings, 11-0, and then, 9-6 the next day.

In the first game junior Mike Blanton picked up the win on the mound for the Blue Knights, striking out six and allowing just two hits. Russ Chambers sparked the offense with a grand slam in the top of the fourth. Cody Lawhorn provided a bulk of the damage at the plate, going 2-for-2 with two doubles and 3 RBI. Mike Heck had a two-run double in the third inning.

Junior Jaeson Hudnall picked up his second win of the season in Urbana’s 9-6 victory over Robert Morris, while Shane Pfouts earned the save. The two combined for six strikeouts. Heck went 3-for-3, including a triple, while fellow senior Jeff Hartwig had 4 RBI and also hit a triple. John Lindquist hit a homerun and was 3-for-4 with 3 RBI.

Urbana is scheduled to play at Indiana Tech on Saturday, March 15. First pitch is slated for 1 p.m.
