There are hundreds, maybe thousands, of reasons why you should become a Blue Knight – academic reasons, fun reasons, future reasons. Here are a few.
UU is a college of distinction. We offer 30 undergraduate and graduate programs. You can start each year with Welcome Weekend, have great out-of-classroom experiences, and graduate in four years. You’ll get an education that will keep you confident in future questions. Be prepared to experience the journey of your life! Once you become a Blue Knight, life will never be the same. At Urbana, you’re an individual, not a number. Unlike some institutions, Urbana’s classes are taught exclusively by faculty – not teaching assistants or graduate students. Urbana faculty maintains on open-door policy by being accessible to our students. From your first year experience to graduation, our faculty cares about the successful outcome of your college education.

NCAA division II athletics at UU are part of the Blue Knight experience. We fill the stands and join the band every chance we get. You will see faculty/staff in the stands, donning their best blue and white, while students cheer for their favorites. It’s what being a Blue Knight is all about. It’s about Urbana pride.
